With such a diverse audience, our challenge was to give Woven a face that is broad enough to speak to the huge range of potential clients, and pointy enough to get its message across.
Taking inspiration from stories, we created a brand based around the concept of the 'penman' – penning and weaving together the stories of people doing good in our nation. We created a brandmark made up of primarily typography, featuring a woven V in the centre, and a style that featured diptych photos to illustrate the coming together of seemingly disparate subjects to create a story never told before. With bold contrasting colours and simple typography, this branding is designed to hero its subjects – the non-profits across New Zealand doing all the good they can, in all of the ways they can, to all of the people they can.
