New Zealand Masters Games is a well-established masters multi-sport event, who have been running games events in New Zealand since the 1980's. Created by baby boomers for baby boomers, the games were created as a pathway for players to continue to enjoy the sport they love and remain competitive if they choose. Over the last few years, NZMG had seen a slow decline in participant entries – so we needed to help them create a fresh take on an existing story, redefining what it is to be a Master while inviting a new generation into the fold.
We are firm believers in beginning with a 'why', knowing that every strong brand is rooted in a reason for being – so that's exactly where we started. Leading with the brand story, we helped NZMG articulate who they are, where they've come from and where they're going.
